20 CYC members gathered today, May 3, 2025 to earn their First Aid-CPR certifications. Ann Crehore, Vice Commodore for Membership and Safety organized the session at the CYC clubhouse which included 4.5 hours of instruction and hands on practice. The majority of the morning focused on a variety of first aid best practices and then segued into CPR training. The course also included in-depth instruction on the use of the CYC AED. CYC maintains a complete first aid kit and AED in the clubhouse kitchen. Secondary first aid kits are at the rowing shelter and the sailing race committee boat. We should all feel a bit safer at CYC knowing that over 20 members are newly certified in first aid, CPR, and AED use. Thank you Ann Crehore for organizing this.
